We at the operating department in Hässleholm are a cheerful group of nurse anesthetists who are now looking for two new colleagues! Looking ahead, we have Project FORTH (Future Orthopedics in Hässleholm), featuring high-tech operating rooms that will provide us with new exciting opportunities. It is expected to be completed in 2028. The new building will house the Operating/Anesthesia department, Post-Operative/Day Surgery department, the sterile supply center, the Orthopedic ward, and the Orthopedic clinic. This will involve innovative development of patient processes regarding logistics, patients, staff, and equipment.

The Orthopedic Business Area (VO) operates at the hospitals in Hässleholm and Kristianstad. The Anesthesia and Operating Department in Hässleholm primarily performs elective orthopedic surgeries on the entire musculoskeletal system. Joint replacements in the knee, hip, and shoulder are among our specialties, but we also perform other procedures such as back surgery, sports injuries, hands, feet, and dental treatment under anesthesia.

As Hässleholm is a railway hub, there are good transport links, and the hospital is only a 10-minute walk away.

As a nurse anesthetist, you work with perioperative care and with the usual tasks for a nurse anesthetist in the operating department. We work in teams with different professions and the patient flow is high. There is an opportunity to vary the ward work with preoperative reception work at our anesthesia clinic. Since our business area is a university healthcare unit, a Center of Excellence, our nurse anesthetists with an interest in research are offered the opportunity to join our research and development team. The level of ambition is high, and we strive towards our common goal of becoming a leading personal hospital that delivers world-class quality.

"Most of our patients are in fast-track pathways and are anesthetized with TCI (target-controlled infusion) using Ultiva and Propofol. We are also part of the hospital's emergency chain where we assess and treat acutely ill patients. We work very independently here," says Linda, nurse anesthetist.

For us, it is important that you as an employee want to grow and develop together with the operations, which is why we offer continuous further education and competence development in the field. The department follows the competence description for nurse anesthetists in Sweden, developed by the Swedish Association of Nurse Anesthetists.

Operating activities are conducted during daytime Monday to Friday. A nurse anesthetist is on duty 24/7 to assist with acute conditions at the hospital. This advertisement applies to daytime hours Monday to Friday.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with permission to work in Swedish healthcare and have specialized training in anesthesia care. Language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale are a requirement. We view previous experience in anesthesia care as meritorious.

To thrive in the role, it is crucial that you enjoy working in a team and contribute to effective cooperation even when the pace is high. The work also requires you to take personal responsibility and show engagement. You have good self-awareness, are unpretentious, and flexible. Furthermore, you are responsive to both patients and colleagues in your surroundings. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
