Do you want to work in an environment where advanced care meets compassion and collaboration?

Surgical Ward 34 is now looking for a Nursing Assistant who wants to help create security for patients before and after surgery – in a team where learning, development, and job satisfaction are at the center.

The Surgical Clinic is a county-wide clinic with both planned and emergency surgical operations around the clock. On Ward 34, we work with gastrointestinal surgery as well as ear, nose, and throat (ENT) surgery. We have 20 care beds distributed across four modules and offer both emergency and planned care.

Here, you will meet patients with varying needs – from abdominal pain to cancer diagnoses – and you will work with both pre- and post-operative care. The care period is usually 3–5 days, which provides a high flow and great variation in tasks.

In Region Kronoberg, we are 6,500 people working for the benefit of the people of Kronoberg – every day! We are responsible for healthcare, public transport, regional development, and culture in the county. Our goal is for our employees to thrive, grow in their professional roles, and be able to influence their daily work.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Nursing Assistant with us, you will have a varied and stimulating job where you:

  • Support patients before and after surgery and are present during a period that is often both emotionally and physically challenging
  • Are responsible for pre- and post-operative care
  • Perform blood sampling and documentation
  • Encourage patients to mobilize
  • Follow hygiene routines and work with precision
  • Collaborate in a team with nurses and contribute to a good work climate
  • Participate in improvement work and the development of care

You will have the opportunity to develop your competence in surgical care and care technology in an environment where curiosity and learning are encouraged. What you cannot do today, you will learn from us. We offer a secure and individually adapted introduction. As a new employee on the ward, you will participate in our mentor group for nursing assistants and nurses, and the introduction for new nursing assistants is approximately four weeks long.

For those who want to contribute to developing care, there are good opportunities to influence. You can contribute ideas, take responsibility for areas of improvement, and be involved in the development work on the ward. Here, you get to help shape the future of surgical care.

We are proud of our permissive climate where collaboration and development are in focus. You will have a manager who is fundamentally a nurse, present on the ward, and has an open, supportive leadership style. Here, we care about each other and about you.

Well-being and health are a natural part of our daily work. We invest in community and well-being through initiatives like a running group and various activities that strengthen team spirit. Together, we create a workplace where you both develop and feel good.

The position is a one-year temporary assignment replacing an employee during study leave.

Welcome to become part of our team where every day makes a difference. Apply today!
