Clinical Pathology and Cytology in Växjö examines tissue and cell samples from across Kronoberg County. The department also includes mortuary and autopsy services. Approximately 38 employees – biomedical analysts, doctors, cytodiagnosticians, laboratory assistants, molecular biologists, and autopsy technicians – work together here to provide patients with the best possible care.
We are a small clinic with strong cohesion and a pleasant atmosphere. Here, you will meet familiar faces in the corridors and the staff cafeteria, have the opportunity to influence, and feel seen. At the same time, you get the chance to advance your career and try new tasks. The clinic's results are good, and when looking at the turnaround times we report, we perform very well nationally.
Job Description
As a Resident Physician (Underläkare) with us, you will have varied and stimulating tasks within a broad spectrum of different organ areas. The work consists of standard tasks at a pathology lab, including diagnostics of pathology and cytology, dissection, autopsies, and participation in medical conferences.
We offer a fixed-term employment for 6 months, with a possible opportunity to transition into a Specialist Training (ST) position. You will receive a personal supervisor and have the opportunity to participate in courses and training at the ST level.
Qualifications
- You hold a Swedish medical license.
- You are engaged and driven in your work.
- You possess strong communication and analytical skills.
- You have a strong sense of responsibility.
- You have excellent knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing (equivalent to level C2).
- Previous experience working in clinical pathology and cytology is an advantage.
