We are looking for a licensed pharmacist or dispensing chemist at the Medicines Unit in Region Kronoberg

Today, 35 people work at the Medicines Unit. The majority of us are pharmacists, but we also employ professionals from other categories. Our mission is to promote safe, appropriate, and cost-effective medication use and supply, as well as to provide operational and strategic support to healthcare activities. Organizationally, we are placed under hospital care and geographically located at the hospital in Växjö, but our mission covers the entire Kronoberg County.

The tasks of the Medicines Unit fall within three main processes: medication supply, medication use, and healthcare-proximate medication support. Within these processes, we work with, among other things, the hospital pharmacy function with self-supply, preparation of cytostatics and radiopharmaceuticals, infusion pumps, medication services and maintenance of medication dispensing machines, emergency stockpiles, participation in the medical committee/medicines committee, medication recommendations, information and education, follow-up and analysis of medication use, medication reviews, clinical pharmacy, preparation on wards, referrals/medication questions, and patient education.

One of our employees has chosen to move on to another assignment outside the Medicines Unit, and we now need to recruit a replacement.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a licensed pharmacist, or alternatively a licensed dispensing chemist with a Master of Pharmacy degree, who will be responsible for our assortment work and handling of shortage situations for both outpatient and inpatient care.

Depending on the needs of the operations and your competence, in addition to assortment and shortage work, you will also work with other parts of our operations.

Work may be relevant at both our hospitals in Växjö and Ljungby.

Qualifications

• You are a licensed pharmacist, or alternatively a licensed dispensing chemist with a Master of Pharmacy degree.
• You have knowledge and experience in assortment analysis, shortage management, and availability issues.
• Furthermore, you have knowledge and insight into regional medication work and an understanding of healthcare medication supply.
• You have good knowledge of Excel.
• You take initiative and are structured, communicative, receptive, cooperative, and have very good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
• You have high integrity and can clarify and stand behind decisions made. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

After induction, you will work independently with your own responsibility to plan your work in dialogue with your manager and colleagues.
