We are a department focused on orthopaedics, upper and lower gastroenterology, urology, as well as palliative and oncological care. We also offer surgical/orthopaedic day care and pre-operative clinics, which provides great variation in tasks and a broad competence base.

We care for patients aged 15 and up and have 26 beds. Our department is supported by a competent and experienced team consisting of nurses, nursing assistants, specialist nurses, and doctors. We are also a ULVE department, meaning we host nursing students during their educational practicum. The work is team-based, with each team consisting of one nurse and one to two nursing assistants.

Job Responsibilities

As a nurse here, you participate in patient-centered care work together in a team with a nursing assistant. You help each other with patient care as well as with other colleagues on our department. Here you will get stimulating and varied work that gives you broad experience of all common tasks within our different specialties.

You work in pairs with a nursing assistant and are jointly responsible for the care of patients. Your tasks include:

• Pre- and post-operative care
• Medication management
• Sampling
• Documentation in Cosmic
• Care planning and contact with relatives
• Collaboration with doctors and participation in rounds
• In an advanced phase, you lead and develop the care work in the team.

You meet patients within acute and elective orthopaedics, surgery, urology, and palliative care – a complex and educational patient group. The work is technically advanced, varies in pace, and requires good communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. Experience in your professional field is meritorious but not a requirement. The most important thing is that you have a good attitude, contribute to a good work environment, and always keep the patient in focus.

Salary: Monthly salary.
Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: Permanent.
Working hours: Roster. Those working inconvenient hours receive higher shift allowances, and for those alternating day and night work, we also have an increased night index. This means that one hour of night work counts as 1.4 worked hours, giving you more flexibility in your schedule and more time for recovery.
