Welcome to the business area of Psychiatry, Rehabilitation, and Habilitation! Our mission is to offer all residents of Kronoberg County specialized psychiatric care, rehabilitation, and habilitation. Care is provided in collaboration with other actors within and outside Region Kronoberg, with a cohesive care chain and patient involvement in focus. We want to create good conditions for our patients to receive the right care and treatment with the best possible competence.

We are now looking at the Assistive Devices Centre for you who are an occupational therapist, physiotherapist, or have another relevant university degree, and who want to work as an assistive devices consultant in an exciting role where technology, care, and collaboration meet. With us, we make a difference – with assistive devices as tools and the human being in focus.

As an assistive devices consultant, you work closely with colleagues with different competencies – together with prescribers and suppliers – and take on each assignment with shared knowledge and commitment. You get the opportunity to contribute your medical competence while developing your technical understanding. The work includes reception visits at the assistive devices centre as well as visits around the county.

Job Responsibilities

In the role of assistive devices consultant, you will:

• Prescribe and adapt assistive devices such as electric wheelchairs, scooters, and custom seats in collaboration with the patient, relatives, and colleagues.
• Support the county's assistive devices prescribers in product selection based on the current assortment.
• Participate periodically in tenders and assortment work where you, together with expert groups and the procurement unit, find the best solutions.
• Be involved in developing training and initiatives within the assistive devices area.
• Participate in a team that constantly develops working methods and shares knowledge to improve things for our residents.

Since assistive device needs are constantly changing, it is important to be flexible and open to taking on new areas.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

• Are a licensed occupational therapist, physiotherapist, or have another university education that the employer considers relevant for the role.
• Enjoy working in a team and see the value in solving tasks together.
• Have the strength to dare and be able to make your own decisions.
• Have an interest in technology and want to use it to improve people's quality of life.
• Have a B driver's license and good computer skills.

Previous experience with assistive devices and prescribing is meritorious, but most importantly, you are curious, cooperative, and want to contribute to something bigger.
