The Social Services Administration in Älmhult Municipality is now looking for summer temporary staff for care and elderly services. The Social Services Administration is tasked with meeting people of all ages and life situations, whether it involves care and support or social services. We are available around the clock to support children and families, the elderly, people with disabilities, and those requiring home healthcare. Due to its geographical location along the main railway line, Älmhult Municipality offers excellent commuting opportunities across county borders. Direct trains take 35 minutes to Växjö and less than an hour and a half to Malmö.

Home Care Services
Home care work suits you if you thrive in a mobile and independent role with significant personal responsibility. You will primarily help elderly people in their own homes with personal care, hygiene, showering, and service tasks such as shopping, laundry, cleaning, and responding to safety alarms.

Specialized Housing for the Elderly
Working in specialized housing for the elderly suits you if you want to work closely with older residents in their daily lives at the facility. The work is highly varied. You will assist with social activities, personal care, hygiene, showering, and medication.

Qualifications

We believe you enjoy freedom under responsibility, are flexible, and like social work. For all areas, you must be solution-focused and able to work independently. You are responsible, reliable, and skilled at building good relationships while supporting individuals to ensure they have a good quality of life.

You do not need prior experience or education in care work to apply for a summer job with us. However, we primarily seek candidates who are trained as assistant nurses (undersköterska) or are currently studying on the nursing program, the nursing degree program, or another suitable care education.

We are looking for individuals who are at least 18 years old and enjoy working with people. For some positions, a B-class driver's license for manual transmission is required.

Employment Terms

• Working hours are scheduled and may include days, evenings, and weekends. There are also positions involving night shifts only.
• Employment type: Summer job / Holiday work.
• Duration: 11 days to 3 months.
