Who we are looking for:

IGS Assistans is currently looking for a personal assistant for a client in Södertälje. We welcome applications from both men and women.

The client requires 24-hour assistance. We are primarily looking for someone available for night shifts, as this is when we have the greatest need for staff. Night shifts typically run from 20:00 to 07:00/08:00.

Opportunity for a permanent position on a regular roster is available.

It is an advantage if you live in the same area and can start immediately.

About the client:

I am a 30-year-old woman who uses a wheelchair and live in an apartment. I have a muscle disease that makes me physically weak, so I need help with most aspects of my daily life. I think and communicate for myself, but I need assistance with the physical tasks that my body unfortunately cannot manage on its own.

I am interested in math, computers, and creative activities. I enjoy spending time with friends, watching movies, listening to music, and doing bead crafts. I also like drawing and painting.

I have a dog that I enjoy playing with. Therefore, it is important that you are not allergic to fur or afraid of dogs.

It is important that you master the Swedish language in both speech and writing so that we can communicate freely, and so that you can help me with writing tasks.

Requirements:

• You are flexible, detail-oriented, attentive, and professional.
• You are quick to learn and look forward to learning new things.
• You speak good Swedish (it does not need to be your native language).
• You are willing to help out when needed.
• You understand the importance of confidentiality.
• You are a non-smoker, or can refrain from smoking during your entire shift.
• You have good physical fitness to perform transfers. There may be many turns/movements during a shift.

Merits:

• Experience with epilepsy.
• Nursing assistant education.
• Category B driver's license.
• Basic cooking skills.

Other information:

The client is sensitive to infections, so basic hygiene routines and face masks are mandatory. Vaccination against Covid-19 is required. A driver's license is a merit but not a requirement. We welcome applications from both men and women of all ages. If you are considered for the position, you will undergo an introduction with a regular assistant before starting work independently.
