We are currently recruiting a Senior Fullstack Developer for Fortnox in Växjö. Fortnox develops solutions that simplify everyday life for hundreds of thousands of business owners in Sweden and is simultaneously one of Sweden's most exciting SaaS and FinTech companies in strong growth.

This is a role for you who wants to work in a modern product organization where developers not only implement finished requirements, but are involved in understanding problems, influencing solutions, and building products that create real value for customers.

About the role

As a Senior Fullstack Developer at Fortnox, you will become part of the Kronos team, which works with time-related solutions.

The team is under construction and will work to consolidate, develop, and further develop functionality related to time, which today is scattered across other parts of Fortnox's product portfolio. This may include time reporting, project reporting, clocking-in solutions, and other business-critical flows related to how companies handle employees' working hours.

You will become part of an autonomous team with overall responsibility for the product's development, from problem understanding and ideation to production, further development, and technical health. Teams at Fortnox usually consist of 5–8 people, where the majority are developers, but also include competencies such as Product Manager, designer, and tester.

The work takes place close to the business and customers. This means that you need to be curious about the business, understand users' needs, and be willing to contribute to shaping the solution, not just building what is already specified.

The technical environment consists of, among other things:

• Java and Kotlin in the backend
• Spring Boot
• React in the frontend
• React Native
• Microservices and distributed systems
• REST APIs
• SQL and databases, such as PostgreSQL

Fortnox is in a phase where AI plays an increasingly larger role in both the development process and the products. AI maturity is growing rapidly within the organization, and there are several internal forums, workshops, and initiatives where employees get to explore how AI can be used in a smart and concrete way.

Among other things, two days a month are allocated for competence building related to the use of AI, where employees get the opportunity to explore tools, working methods, and new ideas. In addition, there are workshops, experiment days, and larger hackathons where teams get to test ideas, build prototypes, and pitch new solutions.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for you who are a developer with several years of experience in professional software development, preferably around five years or more.

You thrive in an environment where you get to take responsibility, collaborate closely with other competencies, and influence both technical decisions and the product's direction. You are not unfamiliar with working exploratorily, where not all answers exist from the start, but where the team together needs to understand the problem and find the right way forward.

We believe that you:

• Have very good knowledge of Java and Kotlin.
• Have experience with Spring Boot.
• Have experience with React.
• Preferably have worked with React Native or are curious about mobile development.
• Have experience with microservices, APIs, and distributed systems.
• Thrive in autonomous teams where responsibility, collaboration, and communication are central.
• Are curious about the business, the customers, and the problems the product is supposed to solve.
• Have a strong drive and want to actively contribute to the team's development.
• Are positively inclined towards AI and want to explore how it can be used in the development work.
• Have good knowledge of Swedish, both in speech and writing.

Meritorious:

• Experience from a SaaS environment.
• Experience with AI tools in the development process.

Employment type: 12-month assignment via A-hub, with the goal of permanent recruitment to Fortnox after the assignment ends.
