As an employee in our joint collaboration, you will benefit from the competence, perspectives, and development work of three organizations. Together, we are building robust and forward-looking municipalities – and we do it with pride and trust.

About the job

Lessebo, Uppvidinge, and Tingsryd municipalities are looking for an Information Security Coordinator who wants to drive the municipalities' work on security related to information management.

The work on information security aims to protect the municipalities' information from being disclosed, altered, or made inaccessible.

In the brand new role as Information Security Coordinator for the municipalities, you will primarily work with the systematic information security work performed in accordance with the NIS2 Directive and the Cyber Security Act.

You will have great opportunities to shape and further develop working methods to move the municipalities forward. You will provide ongoing support to the municipalities' operations with tasks such as information classification, risk analysis, and security measures.

You will be the hub for three municipalities. This means you must enjoy having many contact points and be good at collaborating and communicating with others. To succeed in the role, you need to be able to collaborate with employees, managers, and elected officials at all levels in a pedagogical and non-hierarchical manner.

Your responsibilities as Information Security Coordinator include, among other things:

  • Coordinate the systematic work on information security according to the Cyber Security Act, including incident reporting and implementation of security measures, as well as collaborating with the municipalities' IT companies or IT departments.
  • Conduct environmental scanning to provide the municipalities' operations with current information in the field.
  • Manage and develop governing documents such as policies, guidelines, and routines, and create structure for follow-up and reporting to the responsible manager or leadership.
  • Plan and conduct training and information initiatives.
  • Follow up on information security work and report to the responsible manager in each municipality.

Qualifications

We are looking for a person with relevant higher education, for example in political science, law, information science, systems science, or another social science orientation. Perhaps you currently work in archival services, as a board secretary, or similar.

You have good knowledge of applicable legislation and need to be able to switch between strategic and operational work, adapt processes to the needs of the operations, and thrive in an educational and consultative role.

The role involves many contact points at different levels in three municipalities and requires both communicative skills and administrative proficiency, as well as the ability to work both independently and in teams.

Very good Swedish and English skills, both spoken and written, are required.

Meritorious

  • Education and/or experience of work within information security and NIS 2.
  • Experience of municipal operations and understanding of a politically governed organization.
  • Experience of working in a supportive and educational role.
  • Knowledge of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), public access and secrecy legislation.
  • Experience of change management or training initiatives.
  • Experience of working in several parallel organizations or networks.

The position may be subject to security classification, and register checks will be relevant and require Swedish citizenship.

We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.

A B-class driver's license is required.

We apply a probationary employment with the possibility of transition to permanent employment.

Salary form: Monthly salary.
