Currently, work is underway on the so-called "school project," where our three primary schools are being renovated. Katarina School will receive new, beautiful premises with occupancy scheduled for the spring term of 2026.

We are now looking for a lower secondary school teacher (grades 4-6) for Katarina School with broad qualifications, with core subjects being Mathematics, Swedish, and English.

At Katarina School, we have subject teachers and mentors instead of traditional classes, which allows our subject teachers to both deepen and develop their teaching. In each grade level, 4–6 educators work together, and there is access to special needs teachers in both Mathematics and Swedish. The Work Team Act and the Subject Teacher Act form the foundation of our development work. We believe that close collaboration among teachers leads to lifelong learning for educators and elevates students' knowledge development far higher than if each teacher worked independently.

You are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching in accordance with the goals of the curriculum and other regulatory documents. The work takes place in close collaboration with the grade-level work team, where all educators share responsibility for all students in the grade. You are also responsible for collaborating with students, guardians, and other relevant actors to create a secure and developmental environment for the students.

The position also includes mentorship, where the task is to follow the student's school progress regarding attendance, academic results, security, and well-being, as well as ensuring the student's specific needs are met.

Qualifications

Teaching certification is a requirement for the permanent position.
