Grytgöls School is a rural school located outside of Finspång. Approximately 40 students attend the school in grades 1-6. The school also has an after-school center. Grytgöls School is characterized by safety, knowledge, and joy. The staff is highly engaged and collaborates closely to create the best possible conditions for the students' safety and learning. The school's student health team works both actively and closely with students and educators.

What can we offer you?

You are responsible for theoretical teaching, planning, and assessment in grades 4-6, in a class of approximately 20 students. You work in a co-teaching partnership with another teacher in the group. You share mentorship duties and divide subjects between yourselves. We are flexible regarding which theoretical subjects you will be responsible for. The role also includes working as a resource teacher at times. You will be part of a work team that designs and develops operations and teaching based on the national curriculum. Collaboration among staff is important at Grytgöls School, so we look for someone with good collaborative skills and flexibility in their working methods.

Your future responsibilities

You are expected to have the ability to build good and secure relationships with students and establish close cooperation with guardians. As a teacher, you are responsible for the pedagogical activities, including planning, teaching, evaluation, assessment, and grading. You find strategies to reach every student and strengthen them in both knowledge development and personal growth. You view the student group as a strength, recognizing that differences enrich the learning environment.

The role also involves

Leading and organizing your work to create a pleasant and secure learning environment for the students. You work efficiently with digital tools. Based on scientific foundation and proven experience, you are actively involved in developing the school's operations.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who are a certified primary school teacher for grades 4-6 or 1-7. It is an advantage if you have qualifications in Social Studies (SO) and Mathematics. We would like you to be interested in and have experience using digital tools in teaching. At our school, students work with Chromebooks. You have the ability to motivate and create learning environments characterized by inclusion and varied working methods. You have the ability to see and meet each student individually, starting from what works. You are clear in your leadership role, accustomed to collaborating in work teams, have a positive view of students, and assume that students can and want to learn. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
