We are looking for you who are a certified special needs teacher or a teacher with the qualifications to teach in an adapted upper secondary school (Anpassad gymnasieskola).

You must be able to work in both theoretical and practical contexts, such as work-based learning (APL) and internships.

What can we offer you?

The Adapted Upper Secondary School in Finspång is part of the Bergska Gymnasium unit. The unit also offers introduction programs (IM) as well as the national programs Construction and Civil Engineering, Sales and Service, Social Science Program, and Economics Program.

The Adapted Upper Secondary School has approximately 30 students who are either studying the national program Trade and Service, Property and Construction, or the Individual Program.

At the Adapted Upper Secondary School, there is a joint work team consisting of staff from both the national programs and the individual program.

The Adapted Upper Secondary School in Finspång works clearly towards the students' future adult and working lives. Our motto is that students should be prepared for day one of year five, when school ends. This focus is reflected in everything we do together with the students. We extensively use the surrounding society as an arena for learning.

Your future responsibilities

In your role as a teacher at the Adapted Upper Secondary School, you will teach within the Individual Program. You will be part of a work team where planning and evaluation of the operations take place. The role also includes mentorship and contact with guardians, guardians ad litem, etc.

You will also have external contacts with, for example, daily activity centers, habilitation services, and the workplaces where students complete their internships.

The role also involves

Conducting self-care activities and supporting students with their ADL (Activities of Daily Living) needs.

You have an inviting manner and are solution-oriented. You have the ability to motivate and create learning environments characterized by inclusion, variation, and interactivity. You have good pedagogical insight and the ability to see and meet each student where they are, building on what works. You are clear in your leadership role, accustomed to working in teams, have a positive view of students, and assume that students can and want to learn.

As a person, you are self-motivated, flexible, and good at collaborating with others and building relationships. You are innovative and see diversity as an advantage for development and learning. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.

Experience from working in an adapted upper secondary school is desirable.

Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis.
