Stockholm – our capital city of millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions. We work for everyone living here today and in the future. We are now looking for you who want to think big, new, and differently with us – for the people of Stockholm.
Do you want to make a difference in the daily lives of Stockholmers and work in an exciting and growing district? Here, you will develop and grow with the role. We work to find new, innovative ways of working for healthy and meaningful aging. To support this, we have an innovation center featuring outstanding welfare technology within care and social services. Together, we strive to be a district in a safe city to grow up in, live in, and age in.
Welcome to us
Group homes and service apartments under the LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) are part of the Disability, Social Psychiatry, and Elderly Care department in the Enskede-Årsta-Vantör District Administration. The operation currently comprises 16 housing units with special service for adults.
At our facilities, we work to ensure that every user receives the support, care, and treatment that create the conditions for a good and meaningful life. On our units, adults with disabilities live in their own apartments with opportunities for social interaction in common areas. Our mission is to offer support and services based on the individual's needs and wishes, and we actively work to promote equality and full participation in society for our users. The work is characterized by a pedagogical approach, a structured working method, and a low-affective, respectful attitude towards users and colleagues.
We are now looking for you who want to work in one of our group homes this summer.
Your role
The work involves supporting, motivating, and guiding users in their daily lives, as well as clarifying and structuring activities based on their individual needs. The role also includes providing care and services, as well as collaborating with the user's network, such as relatives and other professionals.
The work can be physically demanding and requires good physical fitness and endurance to provide the support users need. Working hours are scheduled with day, evening, night, and weekend shifts according to a rotating schedule during the summer, with the possibility of extra work after the summer season.
Your skills and experience
We are looking for you who have:
- Knowledge of and practical experience with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and intellectual disability.
- Experience working with obsessive-compulsive disorder and/or aggressive behavior and/or self-harming behavior.
- The ability to handle difficult situations where you can respond to individuals with challenging behaviors in a low-affective manner.
It is an advantage if you have completed training in Studio III.
We are looking for someone who is a secure and stable person with good self-awareness. You have the ability to plan and prioritize in daily work. You are humble, unpretentious, and collaborate well with others. You express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish and have basic computer skills. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
