Main duties and tasks

As a receptionist, you are the person visitors and patients meet first. You are an important part of the patient's visit and experience of contacting us at Folktandvården.

Examples of tasks:

• Visitor service: Receive patients, provide information and guidance.
• Telephone service: Answer incoming calls, book and reschedule appointments. Initial assessment of patient inquiries for further guidance.
• Administrative tasks, e.g.: handle payments, update patient records, manage reports, update lists, case management via 1177.se, etc.

Folktandvården Orust has approximately 20 employees and the patient base consists of a mix of adults and children/adolescents.

We are located in bright and fresh premises in a centrally located clinic with easy access to public transport and free parking. Competency requirements and profile

We want you to:

• have a high school education
• have experience in reception work, equivalent, or dental nurse work
• fluent in Swedish and English and have ease in expressing yourself in speech and writing
• have good knowledge of the Office package
• have good communication skills; clear and friendly communication towards patients, relatives, and colleagues, able to provide professional treatment based on respect, sensitivity, and empathy
• are accustomed to and enjoy collaborating with colleagues and contribute to a positive work environment
• have good ability to prioritize among several different tasks that occur in parallel
• have a high level of flexibility and stress tolerance
• are meticulous and have a good sense of structure and planning
• have the ability to make an initial assessment of the patient's health condition in a patient-safe manner, so-called triage

We consider it an advantage if you have:

• dental or healthcare background
• education in reception
• experience working with patients and relatives in a healthcare environment
• experience working in medical record systems

About the recruitment process

After the application period ends, the clinic manager selects applicants and invites them for an interview at the clinic. These interviews are planned for weeks 26-27.

Folktandvården Västra Götalandsregionen conducts checks in the suspicion and criminal registers before employment.
