About Unika

Unika Perennvägen is a facility located in Ekängen, launching in November. It will be operated on a contract basis on behalf of Linköping Municipality. Here, a modern and secure housing environment will be created for six individuals within target group 1 according to the LSS Act (Act on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments), with a focus on quality of life, participation, and a meaningful daily life. The rural setting offers easy access to walks, outings, and relaxation. There are good connections with public transport.

At Perennvägen, we work with clear pedagogy (tydliggörande pedagogik) and low-affective handling (låga affektiva bemötande) in an environment characterized by structure, security, and respect. We base our work on the individual's abilities and create conditions for each person to develop according to their own needs and wishes.

We are now looking for support assistants who want to be involved in building the operation from the ground up, developing working methods, creating routines, and shaping a secure and high-quality daily life for our residents. About the role

As a support assistant, you will provide individually adapted support to people with functional impairments, with the goal of promoting their independence and well-being in daily life. You will support users in their daily routines and activities based on their needs and abilities, always using their personal implementation plan as a starting point.

We work with a salutogenic and pedagogical approach, starting from each individual's unique strengths and resources. The goal is for users to achieve as much independence as possible and to be able to live a meaningful life with a high quality of life. As a support assistant, you work based on clear pedagogy and low-affective handling to create security and predictability in the users' daily lives. At the same time, we have a strong focus on working professionally and efficiently within the operation's resources and budget.

Qualifications

You are relationship-building, calm, stable, and able to maintain a realistic perspective on situations that arise in daily work. You have good collaboration skills, relate to others in a listening manner, and enjoy working together. You are an independent, humble, and responsible person who is passionate about care work and can see the individual's needs.

Requirements:

  • Very good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.
  • Good computer skills and experience with documentation.
  • Experience working in healthcare and social care.
  • Upper secondary education (e.g., Child and Youth Program, Care and Nursing Program) or post-secondary education (e.g., support pedagogy, social pedagogy, or higher education in a relevant field).
  • Driver's license.
Merits if you additionally have
  • Experience in psychiatry, AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), and low-affective handling.
  • Experience working with complex support needs.

Employment Terms

Employment Type: Permanent position with a 6-month probation period.
Hours: Varying full-time and part-time.
Working Hours: Day, evening, weekend, and sleeping on-call duty.
Start Date: According to agreement.
Collective Agreement: We are bound by the collective agreement of Vårdföretagarna/Kommunal, Sector E.
