Your responsibilities

As a teacher, your starting point is to work with planning, teaching, evaluation, and values-based work based on the curriculum. The work is carried out both independently and in collaboration with colleagues.

As a teacher, you see the student's entire school day as important, and you therefore collaborate with both guardians and colleagues regarding the student. As part of this collaboration, the school's and after-school center's activities also work together to achieve a higher level of goal fulfillment and create the best conditions for each student. You base your work on the student group you meet and are expected to create varied and challenging teaching. Using digital tools is a natural part of your teaching.

You promote collegial learning through discussion and reflection at both planned and spontaneous occasions. To benefit the students' learning, as well as your own and the organization's development, you take advantage of the experiences and knowledge of different professions.

This position involves teaching in all theoretical subjects for grades 1-3, as well as mentorship.

Your workplace

Bankekinds School is the small rural school with just over 60 students in grades F-3, and the school is surrounded by a beautiful environment with proximity to forest and nature. The school has an associated after-school center where the staff works together with the school's staff so that all students can thrive and develop throughout the day. We work actively with school development and have jointly established goals for the school and after-school center activities that are evaluated periodically. We focus on good knowledge and security, where the individual is at the center.

The principal's area of Askeby and Bankekinds schools has a common school leadership and a joint development effort, which means that we have a well-functioning collaboration between all our activities. You who apply

We are primarily looking for you who have a teaching license with eligibility to teach theoretical subjects in grades 1-3. Secondarily, we are looking for you with a completed teacher education for grades 1-3. Alternatively, you are at the end of your education to become a teacher in grades 1-3. It is an advantage if you have eligibility to teach other subjects in grades 1-3, based on the organization's needs.

Since public transport to the school is very limited, it is a requirement that you have a B driver's license and access to a car, or access to another way of getting to the organization.

It is a requirement that you have experience of working in a curriculum-based school through practice or as an employee. It is an advantage if you have taught in grades 1-3 for at least one school year.

In your role as a teacher in grades 1-3, you have good knowledge of the school's mission and are well acquainted with the curriculum (Lgr22) and other regulatory documents. You have good communicative skills in speech and writing in the Swedish language. This is because, according to the curriculum (Lgr22), you should organize and carry out the work so that the student receives support in their language and communication development. You are responsible for ensuring that each student can use the Swedish language in a rich and nuanced way.

As a teacher in grades 1-3, you are a good role model. You have the ability to adapt your teaching to the students and let them participate in the design of the teaching. In a quality-conscious way, you create good conditions for the student's development and learning and document it. You collaborate well with colleagues, guardians, and other contacts in society that occur in your professional role.
