The Functional Support Department is part of the Elderly and Care Administration. We are now looking for personal assistants for a new personal assistance case in central Mariestad.

Job Responsibilities

Your task as a personal assistant is to support and assist a male person entitled to personal assistance in their daily life. The work includes dressing and undressing, support with hygiene, assistance during meals, daily chores, and delegated health and medical care tasks based on self-care. You are the extended arm of the person entitled to assistance in everyday life, which is why it is important that you are sensitive to the individual's needs. The assignment also involves accompanying the individual to various activities based on their interests.

Your workplace will be based at the person entitled to assistance's home, centrally located in Mariestad. The work is largely independent, although some double staffing may occur.

We are looking for 2 positions with a scope of 100%. You will work according to a schedule with day, evening, and weekend shifts, but no night shifts.

The start date for the positions is August 1st.

Qualifications

We are primarily looking for you who are educated as a nurse assistant (undersköterska), have completed child and youth care education, or have another equivalent educational background.

It is meritorious if you have experience from the disability sector and possess knowledge about autism and delegated health and medical care tasks based on self-care. Knowledge and experience within AAC (TAKK) and low-affective handling are also considered meritorious.

As a personal assistant in this assignment, you need to be secure and clear in your professional role. You are sensitive to the person's needs and interests and appear calm and pedagogical. We also request that you are physically strong, able to work in a motivating manner, and preferably hold a B-driver's license.

We expect you to have good proficiency in both speaking and writing Swedish, as well as digital maturity, as our documentation is important.
