The work of the Social Services Administration covers authority functions and execution for target groups such as children and youth, individuals with substance abuse issues, individuals with mental health challenges, those in need of financial support, and support related to domestic violence. The administration is divided into departments for adults, youth, support and work, and administration. We have a process-oriented approach where collaboration, development, and continuous improvements lead us forward.

The Support & Treatment Unit is a service unit aimed at individuals with some form of harmful use/addiction and/or criminality, their relatives, as well as victims and perpetrators of domestic violence. Within the unit, a range of different interventions are offered, such as counseling, talk therapy, and support for relatives. From a preventive perspective, field work is also conducted. The operations also include a social medicine clinic operated within SAMLA in cooperation with Lerum Municipality. The clinic has a specific mandate and operates independently in relation to the rest of the unit.

On the unit, we employ treatment specialists, social pedagogues, coordinators, and adult field workers, and we tailor our interventions to the individual's needs as much as possible. Job Description

As a treatment specialist with us, you will become part of a larger team where we daily meet individuals with harmful use/addiction, criminality, and their relatives. Since the beginning of the year, the unit has also been working with interventions related to domestic violence.

Your duties will include psychosocial treatment work primarily directed at individuals with harmful use/addiction and/or criminality, with a focus on young adults. You will also meet individuals who are victims of domestic violence or who perpetrate domestic violence.

You will plan and follow up on interventions and collaborate with other actors such as social services, healthcare, probation services, and other operations important to the target group. The position implies that you will work independently while being an active part of the team's joint work.

Qualifications and Merits

We are looking for you who:

• Are educated as a social worker or have a bachelor's degree in another university-level education that the employer considers equivalent
• Have previous experience in treatment work and psychosocial support
• Hold a valid B-driver's license

Meritorious:

• Previous experience working with domestic violence, harmful use/addiction, and/or criminality

You possess personal maturity, demonstrated by being secure, stable, and self-aware. You have a good ability to create trusting and professional relationships and can relate to others in a listening and flexible manner. We consider it a given that you are committed to the target group of adults with substance abuse/addiction. For this position, we will place great emphasis on your personal suitability.
