Your responsibilities

As a special needs teacher at Tallboda and Ekdungeskolan, you are responsible for special educational work and supporting students in need of additional support. In your role, you are expected to help identify and map students' support needs, ensuring that the methods used are research-based and as evaluable as possible. Your task is to ensure high-quality investigative mapping, current support, and the creation of action plans. You will collaborate with class teachers regarding the adaptation needs of individual students and groups.

As a special needs teacher, you play a vital role in supporting students at risk of not reaching the national goals. You work with this both through classroom teaching and individual instruction.

The role of special needs teacher with a focus on mathematics development is a unique position for you who wish to combine pedagogical engagement with strategic development work. This position offers you ample opportunity to deepen your knowledge in mathematics didactics and work focused on developing the organization's goal achievement at both individual and structural levels. Your tasks are varied and characterized by broad contact areas within the organization. In parallel, you have an important advisory role where you mentor and coach the school's teachers to strengthen and differentiate regular classroom teaching. Through close and strategic collaboration with the school leadership, you become a key person who significantly influences and develops the pedagogical operations forward. Furthermore, you belong to a work team where you support each other, while also being part of the school's larger work teams and community.

Your workplace

Tallbodaskolorna consists of two schools with a shared heart for learning, safety, community, and joy! Here, in the nature-rich area of Tallboda, we work to ensure that every student has the opportunity to grow, develop, and succeed in their schooling. Tallbodaskolorna comprises Ekdungeskolan (Grades F-3) and Tallbodaskolan (Grades 4-6), where approximately 430 students and a team of 60 employees together create a warm and inclusive school environment. We have a unified school leadership, administration, and student health services, which provides us with good conditions for collaboration and a holistic perspective in our work.

At Tallbodaskolorna, the operations are characterized by safety and study peace, where our cross-professional student health team is a natural part of daily work. Who you are

We primarily seek you who have a teaching license with a special needs teacher degree with a focus on mathematics development. As a secondary option, we seek you who are about to graduate as a special needs teacher.

You have good communicative skills in speech and writing in the Swedish language. This is required so that, according to the curriculum, you can organize and carry out work so that the student receives support in their mathematics development.

You have a positive attitude and bring enthusiasm and energy to the work. You have a good ability to create participation in the operations and can create and maintain relationships at the workplace. You have good insight into how people absorb knowledge and can adapt your way of conveying messages to others. You communicate clearly. You are confident in yourself and see relationships in their proper perspective. Furthermore, you take responsibility for your task and drive your processes forward.
