At our Rehabilitation Center in Trelleborg, you will work in a dedicated team focused on participation, person-centered work, and a salutogenic approach.

The Rehabilitation Center aims to make life more possible for people with permanent disabilities, as well as for their relatives and networks. The disability may be due to motor impairment, intellectual disability, and/or autism. The Trelleborg Rehabilitation Clinic is divided into three teams: one team focused on adults and two teams focused on children and young people. The position is primarily located in the adult team, with continuous collaboration across team boundaries.

Job Responsibilities

We work person-centered with the goal that every patient receives support for a functional and meaningful daily life. As an occupational therapist, you are responsible for the occupational therapy perspective in the team and provide support, counseling, and training based on the patient's disability and how it affects daily life. Interventions can also be directed towards the patient's network and staff surrounding the patient.

In the role, you work on assessing needs and implementing interventions that strengthen the patient's ability to act and participation in daily life. Planning takes place in close collaboration with the patient and their network. You collaborate closely with colleagues within the operation and external partners where you contribute your specific competence. The work also includes assessment, prescription, and follow-up of assistive devices.

Interventions can be given individually or in groups, as well as digitally or physically. Together with a physiotherapist and speech therapist, you are also responsible for following up on patients within the quality registers CPUP and MMCUP. You become an important part of the team's work to create good and safe care for the patients.

Upon employment, you will receive introduction and supervision from experienced occupational therapist colleagues both at the unit and within the area, who provide support in daily work.

Travel occurs in the position, and a service car is available.

Working hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 08:00–16:30, Tuesday from 08:00–18:30, and Friday from 08:00–14:30.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed occupational therapist with eligibility to work within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe scale are required. Additionally, a B driver's license is required. Since bathing may occur for our patients, swimming ability is also a requirement. Previous experience working with rehabilitation is meritorious.

To thrive with us, you are collaborative, flexible, self-initiating, and have the ability to handle situations when the pace is occasionally high. Furthermore, you have a good ability to organize and structure your work. The work requires curiosity and understanding for patients who rarely function according to norms. This requires adjustments in working methods and perspective-taking, and that you create individual and creative solutions to problems based on the patients' conditions.

Assistive devices have the mandate to handle assistive devices prescribed to patients in Skåne. Within the administration, there is also vision, hearing, and deaf operations and youth clinics in Skåne.
