Make a difference. Every day.

Are you looking for a stimulating and meaningful job where the patient is always at the center? Do you want to be part of a team built on collaboration and engagement? Then this might be the job for you!

Dialysis is an exciting field in constant development, where the interplay between medical technology and nursing care is of great importance. We have a planned operation where chronically ill kidney patients come two to four times a week for their blood dialysis treatment. Additionally, we provide acute dialysis on both the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and the High Dependency Unit (HDU) as needed.

Most of our patients are recurring over a long period, which means we build long-term relationships focused on helping them achieve the highest possible quality of life. This is done by tailoring dialysis treatment to the individual's needs, meaning we work increasingly towards person-centered care where patients are involved in their own treatment.

We constantly strive to improve our operations together with our employees, and therefore gladly allocate time and space for individual development. We are also open to suggestions from our employees regarding suitable measures for competence development.

1 position(s).

Responsibilities

In the role of nurse, you lead and are responsible for your patients' dialysis treatment. The duties also include nursing care, medical care, and education/counseling for the patient. You have specific nursing responsibility for some of our dialysis patients regarding their long-term planning and treatment in consultation with our doctors. The work involves handling medical technical equipment, so it is beneficial if you have a certain technical interest.

The department includes a range of different professional categories such as nurses, assistant nurses, doctors, medical secretaries, dietitians, physiotherapists, patient supporters, and counselors. We all work together based on our respective competencies for the benefit of the patient.

You will receive an individual introduction of at least eight weeks for handling the dialysis machine as well as the nursing care of dialysis patients. In addition, there are many different areas of responsibility with opportunities for specialization, and courses/training available as needed.

Evening and weekend shifts occur.

Qualifications

We welcome you who are a licensed nurse with eligibility to work within Swedish healthcare. The position requires that you have language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale. If you have previous knowledge and/or experience of dialysis, we see this as meritorious. It is also advantageous if you have a few years of experience working as a nurse.

We see that you as an applicant are positive and collaboration-oriented. You have a good ability to adapt to changed circumstances. Furthermore, you have a focus on operations and want to help drive our work forward. We also believe that you are curious, responsible, and keen to keep up to date with developments within our field. Of course, you work according to Region Skåne's values: welcoming, driving, caring, and respectful. Great importance is attached to personal suitability.
