Our area of operation consists of three sections; endocrinology, nephrology, and rheumatology. Within the endocrinology department, there are diabetes and endocrine clinics in both Malmö and Lund, as well as specialized day-care and foot clinics. Malmö is also home to our obesity clinic. Inpatient endocrinology care is provided at the Endocrinology Ward. We are responsible for the Southern Healthcare Region and provide highly specialized university and county hospital care.
At the Endocrinology Ward, patients with various hormonal diseases are treated and investigated. The most common diagnoses are type 1 diabetes, complicated type 2, and endocrine diseases where thyroid and pituitary diseases dominate. We work in teams consisting of nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, dietitians, social workers, diabetes nurses, and medical secretaries. Together, we strive for good care where the patient's well-being is always the focus.

RESPONSIBILITIES
We want to strengthen our team with rehabilitation staff and are therefore looking for a physiotherapist for the Endocrinology Ward in Malmö.
The responsibilities mainly involve being responsible for the physiotherapy care of general medical patients. As a physiotherapist, you will receive both newly admitted patients and those coming for follow-up visits. The patients often have various types of long-term complications, such as diabetes and foot ulcer issues. The work also includes functional assessment and training of inpatients, participation in coordinating care planning processes, fall and pressure ulcer prevention, as well as staff education. Part of the clinic activities are conducted in collaboration with the foot team. Collaboration also occurs with other teams within the hospital when other endocrine-related musculoskeletal problems arise.
QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate is a licensed physiotherapist with permission to practice in Swedish healthcare. Proficiency in Swedish at level C1 or higher according to the Council of Europe's scale is a requirement. Previous experience working with diabetes and foot ulcer patients is considered an asset.
