The Area of Hematology, Oncology and Radiation Physics (VO HOS) is one of the largest within Skåne University Hospital. Our clinical research unit, shared between hematology and oncology, conducts both academic and industry-sponsored clinical studies – from First-In-Human (FIH) and Phase I to Phase IV.

We have close collaboration with clinical care in both Lund and Malmö and work to provide cutting-edge cancer care with strong ties to research and development. The operations are carried out in close collaboration with Lund University and Malmö University.

About 40 employees work here, primarily nurses but also assistant nurses, biomedical analysts, and medical secretaries. Together, we currently run around 100 ongoing studies within oncology and hematology.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Are you interested in clinical research within cancer care? Do you want to contribute to the development of future cancer treatments and be part of a growing clinical trial unit in Lund? As a Research Nurse here, you work in close collaboration with other research nurses, physicians, and other professions. You also interact with external parties, such as pharmaceutical companies and monitors. The role is varied and involves being engaged in several clinical studies simultaneously.

As a Research Nurse, you meet study participants during study visits, which requires professional handling, sensitivity, and the ability to create a sense of security in a research-oriented care situation.

The role involves participating in the entire study process from planning, initiation, and execution of clinical trials. The work places high demands on quality, structure, and precision. You work both independently and in teams, with responsibility for driving the work forward according to set goals and timeframes.

Travel within the role may occur, both nationally and internationally, for example in connection with investigator meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with eligibility to practice in Swedish healthcare. Proficiency in Swedish at level C1 or higher according to the Council of Europe scale is a requirement. Furthermore, you have good command of English, both spoken and written. You are also an experienced computer user with good knowledge of the Office package.

You are confident in your professional role, and we would appreciate that you have a few years of experience after graduation. It is meritorious if you have experience of clinical trials or research projects, as well as work within oncology and/or hematology. Knowledge of Melior and work with Case Report Forms (CRF) as well as training in Good Clinical Practice (GCP) are considered desirable.

As a person, you are structured, precise, and have a good ability to plan and prioritize your work. You enjoy taking responsibility, are flexible, and find it easy to collaborate with both internal and external contacts. You actively contribute to a positive and professional work climate and have a genuine interest in developing the operations together with your colleagues.
