Description

Rotskärsskolan is a secondary school with approximately 180 students in grades 7–9. As a study and career counselor here, you play a vital role in supporting students' future study and career choices. You work both preventively and guidance-oriented through individual conversations, group initiatives, and information sessions for students and guardians. The role involves guiding students through the upper secondary school selection process and contributing to the development of students' decision-making skills, self-awareness, and knowledge of educational pathways and working life. You collaborate closely with the principal, teachers, student health services, and external actors. You contribute to making study and career counseling a natural part of the school's joint efforts.

Requirements

You are educated as a study and career counselor. You have experience working in schools. You have good skills in planning, implementing, and following up on guidance initiatives for both individuals and groups. You have strong communication skills and can adapt your guidance based on the student's needs.

Valid ID and Right to Work in Sweden

To work at Älvkarleby Municipality, you must be able to present a valid ID showing your citizenship. In some cases, you may also need to show a document proving your right to work in Sweden. If offered employment, you must be able to present one of the following:

• Passport
• Driver's license
• SIS-marked ID card together with a population registration extract showing citizenship
• Other valid ID clearly stating citizenship.

If you are a citizen of a country outside Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must also show that you have the right to work in Sweden (e.g., residence or work permit).
