We are now looking for hourly and summer substitutes for the entire city of Gothenburg. You will work with providing support and care to people with various needs and unique life situations.

The work involves varied tasks such as pedagogical support in daily life, personal care, and common household chores like laundry and cooking. Part of the work also involves documenting the assistive user's development and needs. The duties may also include medication management according to delegation. As an assistant, you play a central role in creating a meaningful daily life and contributing to the assistive user's well-being and independence.

You work where the assistive user is, which means you are in the assistive user's home or at activities outside the home.

As an hourly substitute, you are offered:

• Flexible working hours. You can combine the work with studies or other activities.
• Control your working hours by entering your availability yourself and receiving requests thereafter.

Working hours are scheduled during the day and evening, weekdays and weekends according to the roster. Sleeping on-call, awake nights, and 24-hour shifts may also occur.

As an hourly substitute, you make yourself available in our booking system when you wish to work. When needs arise in the operations, our staffing planners schedule you for shifts and contact you based on your availability.

When you work with us as a summer substitute during the holiday period, you will receive a monthly employment with the possibility of 100% service during the employment period. You will work according to a fixed schedule planned based on the operation's needs.

Qualifications

To work as a substitute within functional support, you must be at least 18 years old, in accordance with the regulations on the working environment for minors 14§ and appendix 2 1B (AFS 2023:2).

If you do not meet the passing grade in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1, you may be offered a language test via Educateit.

It is meritorious if you have experience of similar work as well as experience with mobility aids or lifting techniques. It is also meritorious if you are educated or have ongoing education as a support assistant, nursing assistant, or another adequate education.

In your role as a personal assistant, you show respect and consideration for those you meet in your professional role. You proceed from the equal value of all people and create a good atmosphere in the meeting. Your attitude is open and positive as you have the user/customer's needs as the starting point for your actions. You listen to other people in order to understand their needs and are receptive to them by showing respect, consideration, and care.

You cooperate well with others to perform tasks and achieve goals. By showing engagement and understanding, you contribute to a respectful work climate. As a personal assistant, you handle stress effectively, balance demands, keep your cool, and make well-founded decisions under time pressure.

In the Functional Support Department, we work with competence supply through the concept 3T - Hour to Permanent, which means there is an educational effort aimed at combining education with work via the staffing unit. The goal is that this will lead to a permanent employment in the department after completed studies.

When working in the individual's home:

An unopened extract from the police's criminal record is required before an offer of employment. You must request this extract yourself by using either the police's e-service (Control of Own Information) or a specific form (Extract no. 442.3).

When working with children under 18 years:

You must also present an unopened extract from the police's register before being offered a job. You can order this extract digitally, which is sent to your digital mailbox or via the police's website with a specific form for personnel working with children with disabilities (Extract no. 442.9).

To work within personal assistance, you must be at least 18 years old, in accordance with the regulations on the working environment for minors (AFS 2023:2 Chapter 6, Sections 56, 8).
