Do you want to help create an inclusive and developmental learning environment for school students in our municipality? We are now looking for a Social Studies (SO) teacher for lower secondary school who wants to contribute to an equitable and meaningful school where every child receives the right support to develop based on their unique prerequisites. The Role

• You will plan, implement, and evaluate teaching in Social Studies subjects for grades 7-9.
• Develop teaching in line with the school's goals and regulatory documents, adapting it to each student's needs and prerequisites.
• Actively contribute to creating a safe and motivating learning environment where every student feels seen and heard.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues, special needs educators, and school management to ensure student development.
• Participate in the school's joint development work and contribute to strengthening the school's pedagogical profile.

About Us

Östervåla School 7-9 is a lower secondary school with approximately 300 students divided into three parallel classes. Our workplace is characterized by collegial learning, creative educators, and a strive to raise teaching to ever higher levels. With staff who get along well with each other and with the students, the work climate is warm. We are constantly working to improve students' academic results and well-being.

Is this you?

• Licensed teacher with eligibility to teach Social Studies subjects.
• Experience teaching in grades 7-9 is meritorious.
• You are confident in your leadership, valuing student influence and using positive and clear communication in the classroom.

As a person, you are engaged and want to create a safe and stimulating learning environment. You have a good ability to work independently as well as in groups, with a solution-oriented and inclusive approach. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability. An extract from the criminal record is required prior to any employment.
