Stockholm – our capital city filled with millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions. We work for everyone who lives here today and in the future. Now we are looking for you who want to think big, new, and differently with us – for the people of Stockholm.
The Norra Innerstaden district area consists of the central parts of Stockholm, Norrmalm, and Östermalm. Here, we work to provide our 155,000 residents with the best services within preschool, social services, elderly care, and urban development. We welcome you who want to make a difference for the residents of Norra Innerstaden.
Welcome to the Norra Innerstaden Family Unit!
The Child and Family Business Area in Norra Innerstaden consists of five units: Child and Youth Reception, a children's group (0-9 years), a child and youth group (0-20 years), a youth group (12-20 years), and Foster Care and Family Law. Our business area is led by a District Manager and five Unit Managers. Within the area, there are also three mentors/method support staff and a school coordinator.
We are now offering a position in our youth group for ages 12-20. The group consists of nine social secretaries, all possessing different experiences and skills. In the work group, we support each other in our daily work; we have an open climate and a great deal of job satisfaction.
Your role as a Social Secretary
Your main tasks as a social secretary are to investigate children's needs for protection and support based on BBIC (Barns Behov i Centrum) and follow up on interventions according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Act with Special Provisions on the Care of Young People (LVU). In your work, you operate from a system-oriented perspective, evidence-based practice, and you actively work to involve the child in the process to the greatest extent possible.
You believe it is important to work in a network-based manner and, together with the families, identify and strengthen their own resources to create increased protection and security for the children.
In your work, you have continuous support from a mentor, unit manager, and your colleagues, as well as internal and external case guidance. The work requires good cooperation with other groups within your own business area, but also with external actors such as schools, police, and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (BUP).
Your experience and personal skills
We are looking for you who have:
- A degree in Social Work (Social Work)
- Good knowledge of legislation within the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Act with Special Provisions on the Care of Young People (LVU)
- Good administrative skills
- Ability to express yourself well in speech and writing
It is meritorious if you have:
- Experience working with investigations within child and youth authority enforcement
- Education and experience in BBIC (Barns Behov i Centrum / Children's Needs in Focus)
- Education and experience in Signs of Safety
We are looking for you who want to work with the child in focus and who have ideas and take initiative regarding how we can create the best conditions for our families. It is important that you have very good cooperation skills, are relationship-building, and want to contribute to a good work climate and a secure work group. You are resilient and can switch between working together with others and working more independently. You are self-reliant, take responsibility for driving the work forward, are structured, and can prioritize your work well. You need to have good communicative skills both in speech and writing and can adapt to the recipient. As a person, you are stable, curious, and flexible. You want to contribute to developing our working methods and have an understanding of the mission to work in a politically governed organization. Great emphasis will be placed on your personal qualities; we see this as an important part both in actual client work and in terms of teamwork within the unit.
What do we offer you?
The Norra Innerstaden District Administration offers you a workplace where active employee participation and clear leadership are the foundation for providing Stockholmers with the best service. We offer an individually adapted introduction with the support of the unit's mentor. As an employee with us, you will work with exciting, varied assignments and develop professionally. We apply winter and summer working hours as well as flexible time. You receive a wellness allowance of 3,000 SEK per year and have the opportunity to apply for holiday exchange.
Other
Selection and interviews will take place continuously, so do not wait with your application. If you proceed in the recruitment process, we will request extracts from the criminal record register.
The City of Stockholm works with competence-based recruitment aimed at looking at each person's competence and thereby combating discrimination.
Open to all
We focus on your competence, not your other prerequisites. We are open to adapting the role or workplace to your needs.
