The Welfare Sector consists of four operations: disability services, home care and health and medical care at home, individual and family care, and care and nursing homes.

The Disability Services operation performs all interventions regulated by the LSS Act (The Act on Support and Service for Certain Persons with Functional Impairments), which include, among other things, special housing, day activities, and personal assistance. The operation's primary task is to promote equality in living conditions and full participation in social life for people with disabilities.

We are now looking for a Support Assistant for Solrosvägen Service Housing for a fixed-term contract. We warmly welcome your application!

Job Responsibilities

As a support assistant in service housing, we work in the residents' homes providing support, service, and nursing care according to regulated interventions covered by the LSS Act.

In this operation, the emphasis is on low-affective interaction, and you should promote participation and independence through a structured and individualized approach.

The job responsibilities include collaborating with representatives, relatives, and other partners in the organization and society. The work involves documenting the implementation of approved interventions for each user.

The daily work requires you to follow up, analyze, and actively work on adapting the environment and approach in the user's daily life, where it is important to be able to create a calm and secure environment.

You and your team will, together based on our fundamental values and working methods, promote a well-functioning everyday life, every day for our users.

You will be part of a staff group scheduled according to the operation's needs during days, evenings, weekends, and on-call sleeping shifts.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who primarily has an interest in working with people with some form of disability and sees it as a given to always act in the best interest of the user.

The applicant should have completed a nursing program, a child and youth program, or have other education that the employer deems equivalent.

Experience in nursing, LSS, psychiatry, documentation, self-harm behavior, and low-affective interaction is considered meritorious.

Many employees in Ulricehamn Municipality speak more than one language. This is a valuable asset, but it is also important to master Swedish as a basic language. To succeed in the job, you need good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing, as well as good documentation and computer skills.

To meet people with different problems and needs, you need to be receptive, have great empathetic ability, and be able to work in a structured manner. You have a situation- and individualized approach. As a person, you are calm, stable, and have an easy time creating and maintaining relationships.

To work within disability services, you must present a valid police certificate (background check). You can order such a certificate on the police's website.

It is meritorious if the applicant holds a B-driver's license.
