About Us

IFO Children and Youth is part of the Individual and Family Care, which is included in the municipality's Care sector. The operations include investigative work and outpatient interventions run by ourselves. Those of us who work at the unit have roles as reception functions, investigators, child secretaries, and foster home secretaries.

The unit includes five family therapists, two of whom work as family therapists/youth support workers.

We are a dedicated group of employees with different experiences of social work that provide broad competence. Our common goal is to strengthen children's rights and work for the best interests of children and families. We actively work with method development in both the investigative process and interventions run by ourselves. We have continuous supervision and ongoing competence development regarding legislation, trauma, and methods for developing conversations with children. We have a positive work climate and good cohesion.

Your Responsibilities

As a social secretary, you work in the authority-executing operations.

You will be part of the investigation group with a Senior Social Secretary who leads and supports you in the process you, as the case handler, are responsible for investigating children and young people according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Law on Care of Young Persons (LVU). Being part of the investigation group includes, according to schedule and as needed, being a support to cover back-up duty for the reception function.

The position implies that you should have good knowledge of the work of social secretaries and current legislation. In close and open cooperation with your nearest manager and the Senior Social Secretary, you are expected to participate actively in internal development work.

About You

We are looking for you who are a social worker or social pedagogue with eligibility to work with authority-executing tasks within children and youth. You have good documented experience from social services' work with children, young people, and families. Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities. We particularly value that you have personal drive, a desire to make a difference for the individual, a development-oriented approach, and a good basic structure.

You are also good at prioritizing, following up, have good pedagogical skills, good cooperation skills, and are a secure person who contributes to a good work climate with job satisfaction.

Interviews for the position may take place continuously during the advertising period.
