Are you someone who values empathy and security in your work? OP Assistans is now looking for a new team member to support one of our clients in central Sandviken.
The role of a personal assistant is about enabling a functional daily life for another person. The client is a woman in her thirties with diagnoses of autism and epilepsy. Her daily life requires presence, structure, and genuine engagement from those working around her.
About the assignment
As a personal assistant, you act as support in all aspects of daily life. The client has extensive care needs, meaning the work is varied and includes many different tasks.
- Communication and structure: Providing support in social situations and in planning daily activities.
- Physical support: Assistance with mobility and personal care.
- Activities: Participation in day activities as well as leisure activities such as swimming and horse riding.
We are looking for you who have a natural ability to instill security. Previous experience from healthcare and social care is meritorious, but the most important thing is that you have the right attitude and commitment to the profession.
- Personal maturity: You are stable and can remain calm even in unexpected situations (e.g., during epileptic seizures).
- Sensitivity: You have a good ability to determine when you need to be active and when it is best to give space and be more in the background.
- Driver's license: Since the client has access to her own car, it is desirable that you have a driver's license.
Working hours and scope
All new assistants start as hourly substitutes with us, so that you and the client can get to know each other in a calm and relaxed manner. For the right person, it may become possible in the future to have a scheduled part-time position. The work is based on 24-hour shifts and includes waiting time.

Due to the fact that the position may involve solo work, night work, and tasks that according to the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations (AFS 2012:3) cannot be performed by minors, you must be at least 18 years old to work as a personal assistant with us.
OP Assistans offers secure and respectful personal assistance. We build close and long-term relationships as a smaller company, but at the same time have the security and resources of our larger parent company, Team Olivia. Many of our managers have their own experience as personal assistants, which gives a deep understanding of the profession. We follow the collective agreement between Kommunal/Vårdföretagarna.
