Teacher in Social Studies and History at LBS Creative High School in Gothenburg

What We Offer

At LBS – Creative High School, we combine a well-developed systematic quality work with creative learning processes. This places high demands on everyone who works with us, on the learning environment, and on the organization, but it also gives back a lot to you as an employee through great opportunities to develop professionally in a stimulating work environment and to engage in genuine collegial learning.

We offer our employees continuous competence development through Academedia Academy as well as internal and external professional development. Here, you will naturally receive collective agreement benefits and insurance, as well as a wellness allowance, pension counseling, and the opportunity for favorable purchases through net and gross salary exchange.

Your Role

We are now offering a temporary position at 70–80% in the subjects of Social Studies and History. The position also includes mentorship. You will also play an important role in continuously developing the school's educational programs together with your colleagues. As a teacher at LBS, you are highly involved in the school's systematic quality work and pedagogical development.

Your Profile

Do you want to challenge the traditional image of humanities and social sciences? For the academic year 2026/2027, we are now looking for a certified high school teacher in Social Studies and History for a part-time position of 70–80%. The position also includes important mentorship where you will become a central source of security and guidance for your mentees.

We are looking for someone who dares to think outside the box and loves finding new, creative ways to spark students' curiosity. You do not see your subjects as static pages in a book, but as living tools to understand the world. We see it as a great asset if you have an interest in games, pop culture, or gamification, and enjoy exploring how digital tools and the mechanics of game worlds can be used to deepen the understanding of your subjects.

In your classroom, your leadership is just as important as your approach. You are a secure, warm, and unpretentious leader who builds strong relationships and creates an environment where every student feels seen and challenged based on their own prerequisites. Collaboration is second nature to you – you are happy to open the doors to your teaching, drive cross-curricular projects, and see it as a privilege to contribute to the collegium's joint development and the school's culture.

As a person, you spread engagement and humor. Together with the principal and colleagues, you take active responsibility for the school's pedagogical journey and your own professional development. Here, you get the chance to shape teaching that not only meets knowledge goals but also creates engaged citizens, all packaged in a modern, creative, and joyful context.

Other Information

The position is a temporary contract for the academic year 2026/2027. Start date: August 11, 2026.

You are warmly welcome to submit your application via our recruitment system by June 30. An appointment may be made before the final application deadline. If you have questions about the position, please contact Principal Christel Dahlin at 076-000 24 49 or [email protected].

We kindly but firmly decline direct contact from staffing and recruitment agencies as well as sellers of additional job advertisements.
