Male Personal Assistant Needed in Mölndal, Temporary Position

Do you want a job where your presence truly makes a difference? Where days can include both exercise, daily chores, and spontaneous activities – and where you are the one making it possible?

We are now looking for a male personal assistant who can step in as needed for a man in his 40s living in his own apartment in Mölndal.

The shifts are either 09:30–19:00 or 17:45–12:00 (with 6 hours of sleeping on-call). This is a temporary hourly position, with good opportunities to work more – especially as a holiday substitute.

What does the job involve?

You are part of his entire daily life. This may include:

  • driving his power wheelchair
  • accompanying and supporting him during exercise
  • managing household tasks
  • participating in activities
  • assisting with personal care and intimate hygiene

This is a practical, close, and trust-based job. You need to be self-assured and comfortable taking responsibility – both in small and large matters.

Who are we looking for?

We believe you are stable, respectful, and have a natural sense of integrity. You need to be able to switch between taking initiative and simply being there.

And one thing is crucial:

You must be able to speak and write Swedish fluently. Communication is a central part of the work, and there should be no room for misunderstandings.

Experience is a plus, but the most important thing is that you get along. When the personal chemistry is right, the collaboration becomes both easier and more enjoyable.

GIL has coordinated personal assistance since 1989. For us, personal assistance is about creating conditions for a person with a disability to live the life they want to live. In many assignments, the person entitled to assistance is their own employer, while in others, a deputy employer has been appointed. Assignments and roles vary depending on the operation and function.

GIL's office provides support in areas such as employer management, administration, finance, HR, and training. Together, we contribute to making everyday life work for both those entitled to assistance and employees within the cooperative.

• GIL's assistants have a collective agreement with Fremia–Kommunal

• Wellness allowance of up to 2,500 SEK/year

• Individual salary setting

• Extract from the police record must be presented upon employment
