The municipal adult education in Motala covers operations at the Basic and Upper Secondary level, Municipal Adult Education in Swedish for Immigrants, Adapted Education for Adults, Assignment Education, and Distance Higher Education. The education is arranged both by the municipality itself and in cooperation with other education providers. Teaching in the municipality's own operation is conducted at Carlsunds Education Centre, Platengymnasiet, and Ekenäs.

DUTIES

The position of teacher involves planning, implementing, and following up on teaching in the upper secondary subjects Mathematics up to continuation 1b and 1c, and Natural Science level 1 and 2. The setup is that each level lasts for 10 weeks in a total of four periods during the school year. The teaching takes place in a hybrid format where four days are classroom teaching and distance learning is currently scheduled on Thursdays. You are also expected to participate in the unit's competence development.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Licensed teacher in Mathematics and Natural Science at the upper secondary level.
  • You are expected to have a teaching license in Mathematics and Natural Science at the upper secondary level. Previous experience in adult education is meritorious.
  • You organize and plan your work well, working according to a clear process where you complete what you have started. You set timeframes and meet deadlines.
  • You have a good understanding of how humans acquire knowledge and of people's different prerequisites. You adapt your way of conveying your message to the recipient.
  • You take active initiative in social contexts, step forward, and find it easy to create and maintain new relationships.
  • You easily adapt, develop, and learn new things after changed requirements, prerequisites, or circumstances. You see possibilities in changes and can also change your perspective and approach.

Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: Permanent.
Working hours: Holiday employment, straight week, weekdays.
