The Assignment

In the group, we focus on ensuring that children and young people aged 0-20 who are placed or have interventions for some reason (foster care placements, HVB placements, and interventions in the form of contact family/person) receive the best possible care. You are responsible for following up according to the Social Services Act (SoL) & the Care of Young Persons Act (LVU) with the support of BBIC and network work. The work also includes reconsiderations and considerations according to SoL and LVU, statements according to Section 11 of the Child Care Act (LuL), as well as custody transfers according to Chapter 22, Section 14 of SoL. You also work supportively with the children and their parents/networks as well as professionals around the child. You will also investigate and assess your placed children based on risk and protective factors in accordance with the BBIC structure. You will work in a group with both junior and experienced social secretaries where we work a lot with giving each other collegial support in social work. This position is for you who like to work in long-term relationships where you can make a difference for a child/young person and their family in the long run!

What you need to bring with you

A degree in Social Work is a requirement according to Chapter 25, Section 1 of SoL, and you need to have experience of case handling from before. Since you are responsible for writing follow-ups, considerations, reconsiderations, journal notes, and other documents, it is important that you express yourself well in speech and writing. It is an advantage if you have training in BBIC, Signs of Safety, MI, and if you have experience of social work with children and young people. To succeed in the role, we see that you have a clear commitment to social work.

The role requires a brave and independent person who has the ability to see the big picture and is secure and strong in themselves, stress-resistant, and that in acute situations you have the ability to act calmly, controlled, and independently. Personal qualities weigh heavily for this position. We would like you to easily understand and put yourself in other people's feelings and behaviors. Humor, flexibility, and humility are qualities we value highly. We want you to have a clear child's perspective in your work and that you stand behind the approach of working closely in collaboration with the child and their network.

Great importance is attached to personal suitability. A driver's license is a requirement as we drive a lot of car when visiting our children.
