ABOUT THE POSITION

At Kura Omsorg, we are looking for you who want to work as a personal assistant at approximately 80% for our client who lives just outside Falköping. We are looking for someone who can start a temporary position from May 1st to August, as well as someone who wants to work 80% during the month of July. The work is scheduled on both weekdays and weekends.

The working hours that occur:

• 07:00 - 07:00 the next day, with waiting time overnight

In the mornings and during activities, you work together with a colleague, as double assistance is applied.

Start date is either May 1st or July 1st, by agreement.

ABOUT THE CLIENT

The client is a happy and social man in his 30s with a great sense of humor and a twinkle in his eye. He gets around using a power wheelchair and communicates via a lightwriter – a speech generating device. Lifts and a shower chair are also available in the home for support.

He has a great interest in activities of all kinds – big and small. This can range from video games, music, and movies to bowling, hockey matches, and weekend trips. He appreciates when things happen, but also the everyday aspects of life.

The work as an assistant is mainly performed in the home, but also at the daily activity center where he works. You are his companion and support in everyday life – both in routines and in experiences.

The tasks include among other things:

• Support with personal hygiene, transfers, meals, and exercise

• Help out in the home and at his workplace

• Be present during activities and social gatherings

Experience in care work is meritorious, but not a requirement – greatest importance is placed on personal chemistry.

REQUIREMENTS

• Category B driver's license and access to a car, to get to and from the workplace.

Salary: We apply individual salary setting. Other benefits in accordance with the collective agreement.

To be employed by us at Kura Omsorg, you need to have a BankID and agree to use your BankID in the service. A prerequisite for starting employment with us is that you, as the applicant, can present a valid ID and submit a tax certificate (personbevis) as well as any documents proving the right to work in Sweden. A tax certificate can be easily downloaded from the Swedish Tax Agency's website. Due to the fact that the position may involve solo work, night work, and tasks that according to the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations (AFS 2012:3) cannot be performed by minors, you must be 18 years old to work as a personal assistant.

If you are to work with children and young people under 18, you are required to present a certificate of good conduct (extract from the criminal record). From March 1, 2026, new regulations apply meaning that the register check will include both extracts from the criminal record and extracts from the suspicion register. The extract is ordered via the Police Authority's e-service. Note that processing time may vary, so ordering should be done well in advance.
