We are looking for you who are curious about working together with us in an exciting district with an important target group – our children and young people with disabilities.

We are the Disability Support Authority North East Young, consisting of 11 social secretaries, two senior social secretaries, and a unit manager. We are a group that gets along well, values our good work climate, and supports each other in our work. We are located at Angered Square, which is a hub in the area, both regarding local traffic and the opportunities to get here, but also regarding the range of shops and restaurants.

Job Responsibilities

In your role as a social secretary, you will investigate individuals' rights to interventions according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disability Groups (LSS). You will meet children and young people with mental, neuropsychiatric, physical, and intellectual disabilities, their families, networks, as well as guardians/administrators. Sometimes you will hold conversations together with an interpreter. We collaborate with service providers such as housing, other social services, authorities, and schools. Competence development and environmental scanning are important parts of the work.

The work involves handling priorities, demands, and conflicting interests, making ethical considerations and decisions. An important part is also determining when other competence than your own is needed. We work with a norm-critical approach.

Qualifications

You are welcome to apply for the position if you have a degree in social work or another degree that the employer considers equivalent. However, for this position, you must have studied social law for at least 7.5 higher education credits.

It is meritorious if you have experience in authority practice with investigations, assessments, and implementation of decisions, and are familiar with processing according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disability Groups (LSS). It is also meritorious if you have experience with investigations regarding Personal Assistance. You are welcome to have experience in the disability field.

Since the position involves administrative work and issuing, for example, service statements, you need to have a good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

Experience with documentation in the operational systems IBIC, Treserva, and SAMSA is viewed positively.

You take responsibility and show respect and consideration for others in your work. Your starting point is the equal value of all people, and you have the best interests of the operation/users in focus. Under stress, you can maintain calm, work efficiently, and balance the demands that exist.

You are systematic, organized, and methodical.
