About the workplace
The Learning Sector is responsible for all school activities in Orust Municipality and comprises approximately 400 employees. Within the sector, there is the Learning Office, where we are six employees, and we are now looking for a new colleague. The office is located in the municipal building in Henån, where we work close to each other in a shared corridor. As we are a relatively small organization, the role involves a broad scope of responsibilities, significant opportunities for influence, and a central role in the ongoing development work.
We are in an exciting phase where we are inventorying our operations, identifying needs, and developing and improving our services to best meet the sector's requirements. You will become part of this work together with us at the unit.
Our mission is to provide support and service to the entire sector, focusing on high quality and meeting the needs of the operations. We also strive to create equity within the sector.
Your responsibilities
We are looking for an administrator who will primarily work with childcare and financial administration. The work within childcare includes, among other things, handling queues, placements, and invoicing. The role also involves administrative tasks related to both preschool and primary school, particularly those that need to be reported to the principal authority and external agencies. The financial part of the role includes, among other things, ensuring correct payments to independent preschools and schools, handling inter-municipal compensation (IKE), and working with invoices for the unit and the sector. The work involves collaboration with all operations within the sector as well as several other parts of the municipality. You will also have external contacts with other municipalities and agencies. Parents are an important target group and collaboration partner in the work.
About you
We are looking for someone who is flexible and interested in developing working methods and contributing to the development of the operations. As a person, you are positive, relationship-building, and engaged, with a genuine interest in education and knowledge. You are structured and quality-conscious in your work and have the ability to work independently and take responsibility for your tasks. At the same time, you have good collaboration skills and thrive in a role with many contact points, both internally and externally.
We are looking for someone who has:
- At least post-secondary education with an administrative focus or other education that the employer deems equivalent
- At least 2 years of current experience in qualified administrative work within childcare, preschool, or school
- At least 1 year of experience in financial administration such as invoice handling, payments, or similar
