We are a highly specialized, well-functioning day surgery operating unit with associated day surgery and postoperative activities. Our opening hours are Monday to Thursday from 07:00 to 17:30 and Friday from 07:00 to 14:00.

ORK provides services to surgical specialties within plastic surgery, ear, nose, and throat (ENT), urology, pediatric surgery, breast cancer surgery, hand surgery, and pediatric dentistry, as well as services to children and adolescents from the pediatric clinic and dermatology clinic. The unit's mandate also includes providing services to the diagnostic center, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and psychiatry with electroconvulsive therapy (ECT). ORK belongs to the Department of Intensive and Perioperative Care at Skåne University Hospital (Sus) in Malmö.

Job Description

As an anesthetist nurse with us, you will work with common tasks related to anesthesia together with other professional categories to offer patients good and safe care. In your role, you anesthetize adults and children of all ages within plastic surgery, ENT surgery, urology, and breast surgery. Additionally, you participate in endoscopy examinations, skin laser treatments, pediatric dentistry, hand surgery, MRI, and ECT.

We primarily have three focuses for anesthetist nurses: ENT/Urology (endoscopy/stone surgery), plastic surgery/breast cancer surgery, and pediatric/external anesthesia. As an anesthetist nurse, you will gain broad competence in both adult and pediatric anesthesia, while having the opportunity to deepen your skills in one of these areas.

The team consists of nursing assistants, nurses, and doctors. In your role, you promote good cooperation with the associated day surgery and postoperative ward as well as other actors. Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with permission to work in Swedish healthcare and have a specialist education in anesthesiology nursing. You have knowledge of Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale. Previous experience in surgical operations is meritorious.

You thrive in a work environment where responsibility, participation, and trusting cooperation with both colleagues and management are a matter of course. You are confident in your role as a nurse and have the ability to make both major and minor decisions. Furthermore, you are comfortable working independently, have good cooperation skills, and communication skills. Great importance is attached to personal suitability.
