We are now looking for a CEO for Norrtälje Energi, a municipally owned energy company responsible for electricity and fiber networks, district heating, and energy services in Norrtälje Municipality. The company has a long history and operates in an industry characterized by change, where demands for sustainability, electrification, and technological development are central.

Norrtälje Energi is part of the municipal group, with its own board and close interaction with other companies and functions within the municipality. The operations are well-established and face continued development, with a need to meet changed market conditions and technical requirements.

The Role

We are looking for a business- and development-oriented CEO who will lead and further develop Norrtälje Energi in a changing energy sector. You have overall responsibility for the operations and ensure that the company achieves its set goals through stable operations, sound financial management, and a clear focus on sustainability and regulatory requirements.

You drive business development within the company's areas of operation and follow and implement developments in the energy, fiber, and electricity markets. As CEO, you lead through your management team and are responsible for creating direction, alignment, and efficient collaboration within the organization. The role also involves close interaction with the board, owners, and other actors within the municipal group for societal development.

Qualifications

• Relevant academic education
• Experience from the energy industry or related technically complex operations
• Experience in leadership positions, such as CEO, business area manager, or equivalent role
• Experience in business development and change management
• Extensive experience in personnel responsibility
• Experience working in a politically governed organization is an advantage

About You

We are looking for you who is a confident and present leader with the ability to create engagement, clarity, and results. You are unpretentious in your approach and have a good understanding of both the technical content of the operations and the people who drive them forward.

You thrive in a role where you combine structure and development, and have a natural interest in following and understanding changes in the external environment. Furthermore, you have good communication skills and can handle dialogue with the management team, board, and other stakeholders in a pedagogical manner.
