We are looking for an Head of Analysis for our Unit of Analysis and Statistics, which is part of the newly established Division of Knowledge Development and Analysis. The Unit of Analysis and Statistics is responsible for conducting analyses, surveys, and producing statistics to develop knowledge and increase learning within Tillväxtverket's areas of operation.

In close dialogue with other parts of the organization, the unit is to create long-term prerequisites for the authority to act upon and disseminate knowledge. The unit also has a responsibility for collaboration and dialogue with authorities, regions, and other actors.

The unit consists of approximately 30 employees, half of whom are analysts conducting analyses related to preparedness, industrial policy, regional development policy, and rural policy. The other half of the employees are divided into two groups, each led by a group manager, working with tourism statistics and the analysis tools Pipos and Raps.

 

About the position

As Head of Analysis, you are responsible for the unit's operations, personnel, and economy. You lead and develop the unit through trust-based leadership and ensure that the work is carried out efficiently and with high quality.

You will collaborate closely with the division's other unit, Evaluation and Reporting. The role requires you to see the whole picture of the authority's mandate while taking responsibility for your own operations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Reporting to the Division Director and being part of the division's management group
  • Ensuring internal and external collaboration to produce relevant and usable knowledge that our stakeholders can act upon
  • Developing operations and creating prerequisites for high quality in analyses and dissemination of knowledge materials
  • Leading, organizing, planning, and developing the unit's work.
  • Being responsible for the operations' results, employees, and budget

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A university or college degree in the social sciences or another area that Tillväxtverket considers relevant for the position
  • Several years of experience working as a manager with responsibility for personnel and budget
  • Several years of experience working at a national-level government authority
  • Several years of experience with qualified analysis and investigation work, with broad methodological knowledge and a good ability to develop and further develop analysis methods
  • Current experience of leading work with qualified analysis and investigation work
  • Extensive experience in quality-assuring analytical work and written materials
  • Good knowledge of the Swedish administrative model
  • Good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written
  • Good proficiency in English, both spoken and written

 

The following are meritorious:

  • PhD in a relevant subject area
  • Strong understanding of the work of the Government Offices, especially how collaboration between politics and policy development works
  • Previous experience of leading through other managers
  • Knowledge of working data-driven with a focus on developing technical solutions for efficient data analysis and data sharing

Employment type and application deadline

The employment is permanent. We apply a 6-month probation period.

 

The position is classified for security. Security clearance with register check will be conducted prior to employment according to Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act.

Note! Interview round one will be conducted in weeks 26 and 27. Then, interview round number two will be conducted from week 34, more information will be given to those who proceed to the interview.
