About the role

We are looking for a senior leader to serve as Interim Head of Procurement at the Swedish National Property Board (Statens fastighetsverk). Your primary responsibility is to maintain and ensure continuity in operations while the recruitment for a permanent manager is underway. As Interim Head, your scope of responsibility includes providing operational leadership for the procurement unit, along with business, financial, and personnel responsibility for approximately 20 employees. The focus of the assignment is to maintain an efficient, stable, and well-functioning operation, including a good work environment.

Assignment period and scope

The assignment as Interim Head is a full-time consultancy role starting on August 10, 2026, and is expected to last until the turn of the year 2026/2027.

A prerequisite for the execution of the assignment is that the work is performed on-site at the agency's premises at Sankt Paulsgatan 6 during the assignment period.

Requirements for the position:

• University degree or equivalent.
• At least seven (7) years of managerial experience.
• Management experience within the public sector.
• Experience leading and supporting a team of at least 15 people.

Preferred qualifications:

• Knowledge and good understanding of LOU (The Swedish Public Procurement Act).

• Ability to lead and apply trust-based leadership.

We are looking for you with relevant education and work experience for the role of Head of Procurement. You have strong communication and collaboration skills to build good relationships. To succeed in this role, you need to be flexible and a quick learner to familiarize yourself with the operations and tasks in the best possible way.
