Make a difference. Every day.
The Adult Psychiatry area in Lund is divided into four sections focusing on general psychiatric inpatient care, general psychiatric outpatient care, addiction/psychosis, and national highly specialized care. The area employs approximately 550 staff members, and we continuously work on developing care content and collaboration with users.
Adult Psychiatry Ward 6 is located in the Psychiatry House on Baravägen. Here, the entire care chain is gathered, facilitating cooperation and collaboration. Ward 6 is a general psychiatric ward with an open-door policy. Patients treated here are cared for according to the Health and Medical Services Act (HSL), are capable of adhering to the open-door policy, and do not require increased supervision. Currently, the ward has 16 care beds. Collaboration takes place with other units in the building, especially with the newly launched Advanced Psychiatry in the Home (APIH) unit, which offers inpatient care interventions at home. The ward staff includes a unit manager, a senior physician, a social worker, a peer supporter, care assistants, nurses, and secretaries.
We care deeply about our patients and believe that user influence is a crucial part of our unit's work. Therefore, we have a full-time peer supporter as an integral part of the team. The ward continuously develops its operations together with user organizations, which has been a major success factor. We value a good work environment where collaboration, a strong sense of team spirit, and respectful treatment are self-evident and actively maintained by the unit.
