About Viljan Combined Housing - Lundvägen

At Viljan Combined Housing, we invest in competence development and hire social pedagogues. Here we work closely together, with an open climate and a shared drive to make a real difference. Viljan Combined Housing in Gothenburg on Lundvägen is located in Sävedalen/Partille. We offer short-term housing for women aged 18–65 with co-morbidity as well as various psychiatric and neuropsychiatric diagnoses and conditions. Our approach is based on milieu therapeutic methods, Motivational Interviewing (MI), and low-affective handling.

About the role of Social Pedagogue

We work with commitment in everything concerning our clients. We are looking for you who want to help create a safe, supportive, and developmental environment for people in crisis and/or with a difficult life situation. Therefore, it is very important that you can see opportunities, convey hope, and treat people in a respectful manner. As a social pedagogue, you are an important part of the daily work where you, together with colleagues, create a stable, structured, and caring environment. You function as a support for the client, and together you develop strategies to achieve goals in everyday life. You also help with contacts with authorities, other healthcare providers, and guardians/administrators. The goal is that our clients receive the help and support that leads to increased ability to manage their daily lives and to take the next positive step in life.

Main responsibilities:

  • Coordination and collaboration with social services and other partners.
  • Document interventions and follow up on development.
  • Support and participate in daily routines such as cleaning, activities, and doctor visits.
  • Contribute to a professional and committed team effort.
  • Provide individual support in daily activities, social training, and skills.
  • Work based on implementation plans and pedagogical measures.
  • Write journals, implementation plans, risk assessments, and reports according to current guidelines.
  • Create a stable, safe, and predictable environment; handle conflicts and set boundaries.

Qualifications

You are relationship-building and have a good ability to establish contact with people in a vulnerable situation. You are calm, stable, and can maintain a realistic perspective on situations that arise in daily work. You have good collaboration skills and relate to others in a listening manner, and you enjoy collaborating with others. You are an independent, humble, and responsible person who is passionate about care work and can see the individual's needs.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Requirements:

  • Education as a social pedagogue or 400 YHP treatment pedagogue.
  • Category B driver's license.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
  • Good computer skills and experience with documentation.

Merits:

  • Experience working with the target group.
  • Experience working with MI and/or other evidence-based methods.
  • Experience with documentation work and medication management.

Employment conditions

  • Role: Social Pedagogue
  • Employment type: Permanent, with a 6-month probationary period.
  • Work hours: 85%
  • Working time: Day, evening, and weekend
  • Start date: According to agreement
