We are a highly specialized, well-functioning, primarily day-surgery operating unit. Our opening hours are Monday to Thursday 07:00-17:30 and Friday 07:00-14:00. ORS provides service to surgical specialties within plastic surgery, ear, nose, and throat (ENT), urology, pediatric surgery, breast cancer surgery, hand surgery, and pediatric dentistry, as well as service to children and adolescents from the pediatric clinic and dermatology clinic. The unit's mandate also includes service to the diagnostic center and psychiatry. ORS belongs to the business area (VO) Intensive and Perioperative Care at Skåne University Hospital (SUS) in Malmö.

WORK ASSIGNMENTS

At ORS, you will primarily assist the operating room nurse and provide care around the patient. We work in teams consisting of assistant nurses, registered nurses, and doctors.

The assistant nurses are primarily divided into two areas: ENT/Urology (endoscopy/stenosis surgery) and Plastic Surgery/Breast Cancer Surgery. As an assistant nurse with us, you will gain broad competence while having the opportunity to deepen your knowledge in one of these areas.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are trained as an assistant nurse and meet the National Board of Health and Welfare's requirements for a protected professional title, regardless of whether you studied under the previous or current program structure. You also have knowledge and/or experience within emergency care/healthcare. Furthermore, you must have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.

We would appreciate it if you had specialized training in anesthesia, surgery, or intensive care. Experience from working in an operating environment is an advantage.
