We are currently looking for an experienced tester for a full-time assignment at the Swedish National Agency for Education (Skolverket). This role is ideal for someone who is confident in test design, acceptance testing, and regression testing, and who wants to work with a socially important digital platform within the education sector.

Since 2024, the Swedish National Agency for Education has had a testing platform where digital exams are provided to schools. The platform is delivered by an external vendor, and new releases require ongoing acceptance and regression testing to ensure quality, functionality, and usability.

In this role, you will work with acceptance testing of the Swedish National Agency for Education's testing platform. You will be responsible for designing, executing, and documenting tests, as well as reporting defects to the vendor. You will also verify fixed defects and contribute to the ongoing quality work regarding new releases.

The work is planned together with object specialists, product owners, and other testers, but the role requires you to independently take responsibility for both test design and test execution.

The assignment is full-time and may involve an interview/presentation at the Swedish National Agency for Education in Solna or remotely via Microsoft Teams.

You will, among other things:

• Create and execute test designs
• Perform acceptance tests, regression tests, GUI tests, and functional tests
• Report defects to the external vendor
• Verify fixed defects
• Document test results and follow up on test activities
• Work in test management tools, such as Jira/Zephyr
• Collaborate with product owners, object specialists, testers, and vendors
• Contribute to the quality assurance of a digital testing platform

• Competence level 3, corresponding to approximately 4–8 years of experience
• At least 5 years of practical and documented experience in test design and execution
• At least 5 years of practical and documented experience in agile working methods
• At least 3 years of experience with test management tools, such as Jira/Zephyr
• At least 3 years of experience with GUI testing
• At least 3 years of experience with functional testing
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

• Experience in independently taking responsibility for, planning, and executing test activities
• Experience with both system testing and acceptance testing of systems delivered by an external vendor
• Experience testing customized standard systems
• Experience with accessibility testing using speech synthesis tools
• Experience testing products for digital exams
• Experience with assignments within politically governed organizations, authorities, or similar

You are structured, meticulous, and self-directed with a good ability to plan and execute test activities from start to finish. You thrive in collaboration with other roles, but are also confident in driving your work forward independently. You have a focus on quality and strong communication skills, especially in dialogue with product owners, testers, and external vendors.
