Social Secretary for Social Psychiatry – Make a Difference in Everyday Life

The Health and Care Administration, with its approximately 1,500 employees, is one of the administrations in the City of Mölndal and covers elderly care, support for people with disabilities, and healthcare.
The Authority for Social Psychiatry is now looking for two new employees. The unit consists of eight social secretaries, one senior social secretary, and a unit manager. The unit is organized into a reception team and a follow-up team. The unit's assignment is to exercise authority according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Act on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments (LSS) regarding the target group of adults with mental disabilities. The unit has high competence, great drive, and commitment to the assignment. As an employee in the unit, you have access to both methodological supervision and process supervision, as well as other competence development. Leadership is based on trust, starting from participation and each employee's ability to contribute to the positive development of work in the unit.

Job Responsibilities
We are looking for two employees who can independently exercise authority according to current legislation, guidelines, and routines. The position involves processing applications/requests according to SoL and LSS. The work includes informing, investigating, assessing, making decisions, and following up on measures. You work to ensure legal security for the individual, and the work also involves promoting the development of the individual's independence.
The role includes collaboration with both internal and external parties. You will also contribute to and participate in the development of the operations. If necessary, you will present cases in the individual committee.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have a degree in social work (social secretary). You have previous experience working with authority exercises and experience working with the target group social psychiatry within authority exercises or alternatively within service provider operations. You need to have good knowledge of the Social Services Act and experience working in Treserva and with IBIC.
You adapt easily to changed conditions and your way of working. You can quickly change your viewpoint and approach and see opportunities in changes. In addition, you have the ability to be sensitive and listen to others in order to understand their perspectives/needs, and you actively seek out others' opinions and perspectives and are receptive to them. You see failures as something to learn from and create space for dialogue.
We are looking for you who are strategic, think long-term, and have a broad perspective on work-related issues. You have a holistic view and the ability to analyze the current situation and can use your analysis to plan methodically forward. We see that you have the ability to work efficiently under stress, balance different demands, and maintain calm in difficult situations. You distinguish between facts and persons and can make well-founded decisions under time pressure.
You have good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing and a B-class driver's license.
Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
