We are looking for a migration case officer for Detention Unit 7 in Märsta. Here, you will work with current societal issues influenced by global events. Issues that touch and engage. We offer a dynamic environment characterized by interaction with people and continuous learning.
The unit handles national issues such as placement management and case officer on-call duties within detention. There is extensive collaboration with other authorities.
What does a migration case officer do?
As a migration case officer, you work with processing, investigating, deciding, and preparing proposals for decisions in various types of cases. The decisions have legal effect for individuals and affect their rights to benefits, rights, and obligations. In addition, you work with administration, handling files and documents that have been received or created in a case. In your role, you meet and speak with individuals who have a case at the Swedish Migration Agency and other stakeholders. The conversations may involve notifying about decisions, informing about the Agency's processes, as well as guiding and providing service. You identify and handle any special needs of individuals and, where applicable, hold conversations with adults and children in vulnerable situations.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone who has good collaboration skills, is receptive, and resolves conflicts in a constructive manner. You are clear in your communication and ensure that messages are received and that expectations are clear for all involved parties. Furthermore, you are structured and independently able to plan and organize work effectively towards set goals and deadlines. You are flexible and adapt easily, changing your perspective and approach when circumstances change.
In our work as civil servants, high demands are also placed on judgment and a high level of security and confidentiality awareness.
The successful candidate has
- An academic education of at least 120 ECTS credits with a legal, social science, or behavioral science focus, or other education combined with current and relevant experience for the role.
- Knowledge of administrative law cases.
- Experience in work requiring good service and professional treatment.
- Good communication skills and expresses yourself well verbally and in writing in Swedish and English.
- Good knowledge of the Office package.
- Experience in case processing.
- Experience in collaboration between authorities or larger organizations.
It is an advantage if you have
- Current experience working with administrative law cases.
- Experience working in a secure/closed environment.
Information
Employment type: Permanent with probationary period
Working hours: Scheduled three-shift work; day/evening/night and weekend work may occur.
Location: Märsta/Arlandastad
Start date: By agreement
