About Us

Huddinge Municipality is the seventh municipality in Sweden to launch the crime-preventive and individualized program "Rätt Kurva" (Right Curve), in collaboration with the police.

Rätt Kurva consists of two therapists and a coordinator.

In addition to Rätt Kurva, "Unga i Riskzon" (Youth in the Danger Zone) consists of a counselor within the Support Center/Mediation, Youth Services, two coordinators towards SIG/SSPF, three youth therapists, and a group leader with delegated leadership responsibility from the unit manager. In total, nine people work within the team Youth in the Danger Zone.

The Youth Outpatient Unit also houses the Youth Clinic, Mini Maria, and the support housing Myren. Our unit consists of a total of 19 people, under the leadership of the same unit manager. We are a pleasant team with long experience in outpatient care.

Job Responsibilities

Rätt Kurva is a national method aimed at children aged 8–15 who have debuted in crime with a risk of escalation. The purpose is to turn a negative trend through close cooperation between the police and social services, where the social services department is responsible for targeted support for children and families. The goal is to offer an alternative to crime by strengthening protective factors and reducing risk factors, with a focus on preventing recidivism. As a therapist, you work closely with the child and the family. You offer individually adapted support, involve the family's network, and collaborate with civil society. You have a key role in building trust, motivating, and creating change for the child's future. The program is voluntary and is an offer to the child and the family.

As a therapist in Rätt Kurva, you map the help and support needs of children and other family members, you lead the change work, and offer supportive/therapeutic conversations. In the role, you have continuous contact with other cooperating actors regarding the planning and implementation of interventions aimed at children and families. You are the hub in the network and a support function for your clients. Regular documentation is part of your duties, which requires that you master the Swedish language in speech and writing and have good computer skills. You will participate in various forums where you are expected to participate; operational cooperation with the police regarding the target group, cooperation with the children's schools, and responsible parties in other areas. The Police's National Operational Division (NOA) in Stockholm will hold together the operations in Rätt Kurva at the national level and arrange training, exchanges with other municipalities, and support with business and civil society contacts.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a social work degree or equivalent education and experience in therapeutic work. Experience with the target group of young people with norm-breaking behavior is meritorious.

Experience in authority functions with children and young people is meritorious, as is previous work coordinating interventions and collaborating with external actors such as schools and police. You have good knowledge of social services work.

Experience with methods such as FFT, Repulse, Turning Points, Crime as a Lifestyle, as well as various parenting programs such as COPE and KOMET is meritorious for the position.

You are a safe, stable, and flexible person who has a good ability to create and maintain relationships. You are unpretentious and find it easy to collaborate in a team while also being able to drive processes independently. You have a family perspective in your work, are solution-oriented, and enjoy working in different contexts. You need to be able to perform structured therapeutic work and lead supportive conversations with parents and youth.

The position also requires a B driver's license and driving experience. Working hours are mainly daytime, but evening hours may occur based on the families' needs.
