About the operations at Attendo Västra Varvsgatan

We at Attendo Västra Varvsgatan in Malmö are now looking for our new assistant nurse for our lovely facility, specializing in group housing for dementia patients.

The residence is small and cozy with an attractive location in Västra Hamnen in Malmö. Our residence has a total of 53 apartments distributed over three floors with care focus on somatic care, dementia, and group housing within social psychiatry. The area is quiet and surrounded by plenty of greenery and walking paths along the sea. Here it is close to services, entertainment, and public transport.

About the role

We are recruiting an experienced and engaged assistant nurse with experience working with dementia patients. As an assistant nurse with us, you play a crucial role in creating and maintaining a safe and stimulating environment for our customers. You are responsible for providing good care and support in consultation, support, and cooperation with our customers and their relatives. Creating a positive and safe atmosphere, supporting in daily life is a large part of your role, as well as being able to contribute with various activities that brighten up the daily life for our customers. Your approach is characterized by calmness, clarity, patience, and you have experience working based on a low-affective approach.

Your responsibilities include among other things

  • Support in personal care based on the customer's individual needs and wishes
  • Support the customer in connection with service tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and cooking if needed
  • Perform documentation and work based on decided measures
  • Cooperate with external and internal contacts

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Assistant nurse education of at least 1350 credits.
  • Professional certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare or certificate from current/former employer regarding permanent employment as an assistant nurse.
  • Good knowledge of the Swedish language (spoken and written)
  • Good computer skills/computer literacy

Employment type: Permanent employment (subject to a 6-month probation period)

Work hours: 75%

Working hours: Daytime, evenings, and weekends.

Start date: According to agreement
